Why Unrefined sea salt?
Unlike standard table salt, unrefined sea salt is neither boiled nor bleached. Table salt is 40% sodium and 60% chlorine by weight [consumer reports, August 2010]. The refining process of table salt removes nearly 80 trace minerals [which are then sold for profit] . Such elements as calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, zinc, iodine and manganese are removed. When you eat refined salt your body says… ‘What’s up? Where’s the beef?’ You need these trace minerals to process the salt in your body.
